Summer Wedding Makeup Look

Friday, July 26, 2019

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I did a makeup post, but today I wanted to share the look that I did for an outdoor summer wedding, using some new products from Almay! I’ve only tried a mascara from the brand prior to this, so thank you Almay for gifting me some new products to try.

Eye Post # 14: Caring For Your Eyes During Allergy Season

Thursday, June 20, 2019

When the allergy season rolls around in the spring and summer, so many people are hit with the classic symptoms: runny nose, sneezes, congestion, and of course the itchy, watery eyes. I have a seasonal allergy to grass seeds (so random) and it's the worst come the month of June. My eyes get so itchy and it really affects my day if I don't do anything to stop it.

It's so tempting to just rub your eyes until the itch goes away. Most of the time the itch only gets worse, your eyes become bloodshot, and you start tearing up. For some individuals, their eyes get a bit swollen too as a reaction to the allergens. Eye health is very important to me, so here are some tips to how you can treat your eyes during the allergy season so the symptoms aren't as bothersome.

My Timeless Accessories

Thursday, May 30, 2019

Accessories can add so much more to an outfit. I usually try to add at least one piece to my outfit to dress it up and tie an outfit together. I wanted to share some of my most loved, classic, and timeless accessories that I have in my collection. As part of my decluttering, I want to only keep pieces that I wear all the time.

My Weekend Relaxation

Wednesday, May 1, 2019

Hi everyone! I finally get weekends off from work so aside from getting more time to spend with friends and family, I also get more time to finally be at home and relax by myself. It has been a great time of self discovery, more so figuring out how I like to wind down and on the weekend. Here are some of the things that I do to rest up after a busy week!

One of a Kind Show: Spring Haul!

Tuesday, April 23, 2019

Hi everyone! It's currently Easter weekend so I'm taking time to reflect on Jesus' saving work on the cross for everyone. I'm so thankful for the unconditional love and grace in Him.

The One of a Kind Show* has passed, and I'm already looking forward to the next show in the winter (although let's just enjoy summer first right?!). As always, I look forward to showing you my haul so that everyone can discover local artisans and/or handmade goods that's worth the purchase.

Outfits of the Week: Office Edition

Saturday, April 13, 2019

Hello! The weather was amazing today, with the temperature at 17 degrees! Woohoo! Too bad I'm stuck inside at the office. I thought it would be fun to share my office outfits from last week. I personally find loads of outfit inspirations from other content creators so I hope this can do the same for one of you too.

I would love to wear heels at work because it can dress up a look instantly, but sadly my feet hurt after wearing them for too long. Flats are where it's at for me, and these black suede ones from Old Navy have been my go-to! They have a memory foam, cushioned sole so it feels like I'm walking on a cloud. The faux-suede also has water and stain repellant technology (like whaaat?!). The flats are still available in stores and online here!

Ways to Live a More Sustainable Lifestyle

Wednesday, April 3, 2019

Hi everyone! The other day I was thinking about how much waste I create each day from my everyday tasks, and it's not a particularly small amount. I've been investigating how I can live a more sustainable lifestyle, especially when there's already so much pollution and waste in the world. With Earth Day coming up on April 22, let's all try to be more conscious about our habits, appreciate what we have, and see what changes each of us can do to help our planet.

These are a few things that I've implemented in my lifestyle to be more eco-friendly! All the products that I purchased will be linked so you can look into them as well!

Brand Introduction: The Inkey List

Saturday, March 23, 2019

Hi everyone! It is currently so sunny with blue skies, I’m loving it! Today I’m sharing my thoughts on a few products that I received from a new skincare line called The Inkey List!

The Inkey List is a new brand originating from the UK and it received an overwhelming response! Launched and available now in Canada, the brand is built on the idea that skincare should be accessible in the most simplest form. The name for each product is very straightforward and there’s no complicated science behind the products. Each of them target specific skincare needs. Using only high quality ingredients, the Inkey List eliminates inflated price points and fluffy packaging so that you won’t find any of the products over the price of $15! That’s phenomenal especially when there are so many other skincare products out there that have the same function but is significantly more expensive.

My First Designer Purchase: Prada Pattina Leather Cross-Body Bag

Saturday, March 16, 2019

Hi everyone! I'm currently writing this in a cafe, eating a pineapple bun with butter and drinking a HK milk tea. If you know, you know. ;)

Today I wanted to share about how I decided to purchase my first designer bag: the Prada Pattina Leather Cross-Body Bag!

It's important to think about why you want to make a luxury purchase because it's not a small amount of money going towards it!
I'm not the type of person to splurge on luxury purchases simply because I want them. I'm happy to look at photos online and daydream about them haha. I wanted to purchase a bag this time because:
1. I've reached a point in my life that I can afford a purchase like this with my own earnings.
2. I wanted to commemorate a milestone and some life changes that were important to me.

My Ombre Powder Brows Experience

Saturday, March 9, 2019

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a great week! I just finished my first week of training at my new job, and it has been good. :)

Today I want to share with you my experience getting ombre powder brows! Many of you have asked about my thoughts and what the process is like, so I'll share all of that today.

What are ombre powder brows?

Ombre powder brows is a semi-permanent brow tattoo procedure that mimics the look of soft, filled in powdered brows. It is different from microblading as it doesn't go as deep into the skin (less invasive), the healing is inconspicuous, and the brow expert isn't drawing hair-like strokes. This technique can give a look as natural or as bold as you would like. The procedure is also ideal for all skin types, especially oily skin.

Where did I get my ombre powder brows done?

I got my brows done with Angie of Hello Gorgeous Studios (you can check out her extensive Instagram portfolio here!). She is based in the North York/Toronto area. Angie is very friendly and is passionate about her work. She currently does ombre powder brows, microblading, and lash extensions. She gets booked up super fast so you need to secure your appointment as soon as you plan on getting something done! All her pricing is listed on her Instagram account. The cost that I paid for her service includes the ombre brows procedure and the initial touch-up 4-8 weeks after.

Wedding Wednesday: Our Wedding Photos

Wednesday, March 6, 2019

Hello! C and I are almost five months into our married life and it is indeed an adventure full of ups and downs. I still like to go through our wedding photos to reminisce on that special day. It is true that your wedding day will seem like a blur and pass by in the blink of an eye, so looking at the photos really help me remember all the moments. Our photos were taken by Toronto-based photographer Cari Zhu. Enjoy!

Wet Brush Review + GIVEAWAY!

Sunday, February 24, 2019

Hello! I hope you’re all doing well! I’m glad the weather is finally warming up over here.

Today I wanted to share my thoughts on the Wet Brush*! I received this over the holidays to try out and I’ve been using it since. First off, the holiday themed designs of the brushes are so sparkly and festive! The one that I have is a beautiful royal blue with silver snowflakes and it makes brushing my hair more enjoyable haha.

Our hair is in its weakest state when it’s wet. It can easily break when we’re trying to brush through wet, tangled hair after a shower. The Wet Brush is designed to help detangle wet hair by gently loosening knots without having to pull hard with the brush. The bristles are very flexible. I do get knots in my hair after washing. I have long and thick hair so I was interested to see how it works with my hair type. I also have A LOT of hair so there are lots to brush through.

2019 Intentions for the Year

Friday, January 25, 2019

Hey everyone! We are just about to finish the first month of 2019, and I wanted to reflect on the things I'd like to do for the year. I always set resolutions that I never accomplish through the year, so this time around I want to think of them as "intentions". They're things I intend to do, which may take more or less than year to accomplish, but I still want to note them to you so that you can keep me accountable to them.

Winter Makeup Look

Wednesday, January 9, 2019

Happy New Year! 2018 definitely flew by, but I'm looking forward to what 2019 has to offer!

We're midway through the winter season, and lately I've been loving some cool tone grey on the lids! I love pairing this eye colour with a nude lip, and my go-to for that has been from Charlotte Tilbury. I'm still discovering this brand for myself but I've been really liking the majority of the products that I've tried from them so far.
