Round 3 of some empties that I've used up!

L’Oréal Féria Wild Ombré Hair Dye

I have had phases where I wanted to do something very different with my hair. One of the first changes I made to my hairstyle many years ago was to get side-swept bangs and highlights. Another phase that I went through was getting straight fringe bangs (that didn't work out at the end because I got lazy with the routine trimming, and when I did trim them it was not neat at all haha). Recently I decided to go for another trend: the ombréd hair. I love how it turned out! It was done at home using this hair dye. There are clear instructions as to how to achieve the gradient look, but I found it helpful to have a friend do the actual dyeing for you. The final effect isn't as drastic as shown on the box, but it was visible enough to see a gradient in colour down my hair. Here's a view of the ombré from a picture of me.

 Simple Soothing Facial Toner

I've mentioned this in several of my related skincare posts. It's a great, affordable toner for sensitive skin. There is no alcohol in it so it doesn't dry out the skin (this is a must for any toner I use). I'm looking into trying out a different toner but I haven't found one that I'm interested in yet. If you have any recommendations, comment below!

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer

I used it so much that the packaging has already rubbed off. I liked it, but I didn't LOVE it. None of the colours matched too well with my skintone because it was either a little bit too dark or too light. I wasn't the biggest fan with the paintbrush-like tip on this concealer either. I'm currently using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser and I like using that a lot more.  It has a round sponge tip which I find applies the concealer under my eyes better and helps to blend it out. I won't be repurchasing this Dream Lumi Concealer. However, many other people have loved this so still give it a shot if you haven't tried it before!

What have you emptied recently? Did you like the products you used up?

Until next time, Des
