Current Favourite Scents (Approved by the BF)!

Saturday, November 22, 2014

I'm very picky with scents, whether it's with body lotion, fragrance, soaps, or candles. I always want to make sure that it's not a scent that I will easily get sick of. I don't like those that are too floral or musky or artificial/fake (if that makes any sense). I have a handful here that I'm currently loving and the BF approves them as well (his opinion matters too because he'll be smelling whatever I may have on that day and I don't want him to back off haha).

1. The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Lotion

Peach is my absolute favourite fruity scent out of all the ones available at The Body Shop. It smells very natural like real peaches. There are products from other places that are also peach scented but I found that they smelled like Fuzzy Peaches candy more than peaches picked from the vineyard. This lotion is made with peach extract so it helps with the natural fruit fragrance.

2. Bath & Body Works Carried Away Triple Moisture Body Cream

My favourite Bath & Body Works scent out there (although I hear that this scent is discontinued now *cry*), I would describe this as having a sweet and floral scent that's very light but playful. It's a scent that I would use year-round and the BF loves this the most. It's a mix of raspberries, white jasmine, and vanilla.

3. Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Fragrance Mist

Vanilla is a classic scent that I always gravitate to (as seen from the previous B&BW product that also has vanilla). This one is more of a pure vanilla scent so the fragrance is a tad bit stronger. However, it has a warm and cozy feel to it so I generally like to use this in the fall and winter. I find that this might be a bit too heavy to wear in the warmer seasons.

4. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette

I got this mini version as a gift from a friend and it's one of my favourite high-end fragrances. It is a fresh and floral scent that's still sophisticated and elegant.  I would be able to wear this scent to work because it's not overpowering at all.

The range of scents and fragrances that I wear changes depending on the season or mood so there'll be a new handful in the coming months :)

What are some of your favourite fragrances?

Until next time, Des
