Winter Makeup Look

Wednesday, January 9, 2019

Happy New Year! 2018 definitely flew by, but I'm looking forward to what 2019 has to offer!

We're midway through the winter season, and lately I've been loving some cool tone grey on the lids! I love pairing this eye colour with a nude lip, and my go-to for that has been from Charlotte Tilbury. I'm still discovering this brand for myself but I've been really liking the majority of the products that I've tried from them so far.

Here's what I normally do on most days, after I've finished my skincare routine (I've posted about it here):

Base: Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I store the sponge inside my Sephora Collection Sponge Case, which helps to keep it hygienic and clean.

Concealer: Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer using the Real Techniques Sponge as well.

Powder: I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in my T-zone where I get the most oily.

Brows: Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil

Eyeshadow: The grey that I've been into is Gunmetal from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. This goes all over the lids, and I blend it out using the matte brown Buck.

Eyeliner: I have not found anything that can beat the Kat von D Tattoo Liner!

Mascara: This has been a recent discovery but it is has taken its place as my favourite mascara EVER: the Covergirl Exhibitionist Mascara. It's very lengthening, there's no smudging, and it gives volume to my lashes. Another bonus is that it's also vegan and cruelty free! I use it with the Shiseido Eyelash Curler.

Blush: Essence Satin Touch Blush in a beautiful nude.

Lips: Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Luminous Long Lasting Lipstick* in Pillow Talk is one to add to my everyday makeup. It's so comfortable and it's the perfect shade of nude that doesn't wash me out.

That's my current go-to look! One of my hopes for this year (coming up in another blog post!) is to use up what I have in my current makeup collection and really enjoy the products. Everything except the lipstick was something I already had.

Is there a winter look that you've been rockin' lately?
