Review: Laneige BB Cushion

Hello to those who still visit my little corner of the Internet! Thank you to those who've stuck with me through this dry patch of a year. The posts have been sparse here but I must say that life has been so busy until now. I'm now married to C, and we're currently on our honeymoon in Barbados! It feels so good to have all this time to not think about or do anything, and so I'm writing this post for you now in bed.

Today's post is a review of the Laneige BB Cushion*. Laneige has always been one of my favourite high-end but still affordable skincare brands so when they sent this to me to try, I was excited to try out their product that was more makeup-like than skincare.

Where to buy: Sephora

Cost: $38.00 CAD

Packaging: It's packaged like any other BB cushion. When you open the cap, there is a cover that holds the puff that's included and it also protects the cushion from drying out. I really like the sleek look of the cushion, with the silver holographic top to highlight the name against the white of the container itself. It's not too big of a product which makes it easy to take with me wherever I go.

Product: The first thing I noticed is how smooth the formula goes onto my skin. I used the puff that was included and it works fine for me (definitely a bonus since I can travel with one less sponge/brush).  It goes on so easily and evens out my complexion very well. The redness in my face would be covered and it gives a very natural finish that's not too matte or dewy. With one layer it is a light coverage, but I can build up on the areas that need more coverage. Some of my darker acne scars still peek through so a little bit of concealer over it can fully conceal them. I received two shades, No. 23 Sand and No. 21 Beige. Sand was a perfect shade match for me in the summer time, whereas Beige would be great in the winter months.

Overall, I really like the product and I would totally repurchase this for myself. I have tried a few other BB cushions in the market but this one is the best one so far. Give a thumbs up in the comments if you've tried it and love it too!

*Product was sent as a PR sample for editorial consideration. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Until next time, Des

  1. Hope you're enjoying Barbados! I'm loving this cushion foundation. It's so so great! I didn't think I'd love it so much, but it's awesome how it builds up!
