Holiday Gift Guide 2018

Wednesday, December 19, 2018

Hello! Today I wanted to share some gift ideas for the coming holidays! I have quite a few Secret Santa's and holiday parties this year, so here's a nice round up for you in case you're still shopping for gifts right up till Christmas Day!

A handful of gifts that I purchased this year were from the One of A Kind Show*! I always make my trip down each year, whether it’s the winter or spring show. The One of a Kind Show features vendors and artisans from across Canada. It is such a great opportunity to shop local and support handmade. You can find almost everything there, which makes it easy to find gifts for the people in your life or even to get inspiration too.

3 Winter Looks with Reitmans

Sunday, December 16, 2018

The holidays are upon us! It's so nice to see all the Christmas decor up, and everyone also dresses in their most coziest and festive outfits for the season.

Reitman's current campaign "Really You" is so empowering. Women of all ages and body types should be able to wear the clothes, not the other way around. It is also great how the brand is catering towards both a younger and older demographic so that everyone is able to find something that suits their style. Reitmans was so generous to send me a few pieces from their winter collection and today I’m styling three outfits with them: one for lounging at home, one for working at the office, and one for partying at holiday gatherings!

What I Eat In a Day

Friday, December 7, 2018

Hello! I realize that an important way to prevent yourself from getting sick or easily tired is eating well. We're also living away from parents now so C and I need to figure out our meals ourselves.

Follow along to see what I ate in a day!

Current Beauty & Accessory Faves

Sunday, December 2, 2018

Hello, welcome back! Today I wanted to share my current beauty and accessory faves with you. They've all captured my heart, with some products that are brand new and others just rediscoveries of how amazing they are. I'm trying to build a practice of appreciating the things that I already have, so I don't have urges to always go for and buy the latest things.

Kare Home Decor Inspiration

Tuesday, November 13, 2018

Hi again! C and I are almost done organizing our condo, and now I finally get to style and design my own home! Last year I did a home decor inspiration post here, and it's cool to see how I've already incorporated most of the things I've listed in that post into our condo. We're not done with the styling yet, but once we are finished I'd be happy to show you guys the finished look (let me know in the comments below if you would like to see that!)

Kare invited me to visit their first ever Canadian showroom in Downtown Toronto on Queen West. Kare is a furniture company originating from Munich, and it prides itself in being unconventional, unique, and style-forward. Kare also produces home decor and houseware. I really needed some fresh inspiration, and I definitely got some great ideas at the showroom.

Here are some of the concepts I took away from the visit!

Easy Fall Makeup Look feat. Charlotte Tilbury

Friday, November 2, 2018

It truly feels like fall weather now. It's colder, rainy, and the leaves have all turned their colours (sadly starting to fall too). However the beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows of the leaves really make the fall season that much better, and lately I've been really into a wash of orange on the lids for that warm fall look.

Instant Pot Recipe: Teriyaki Rice with Chicken and Vegetables

Friday, October 26, 2018

Hello! Now that C and I are living together, it means that I have to start cooking our meals as well. Many people know that I don't particularly like cooking, but it helps if I have a great recipe to follow. We have an Instant Pot and I thought that I would try something out with it for the first time. So, I started scrolling Pinterest for Instant Pot recipes and I found this one by Life Made Sweeter for Teriyaki Rice with Chicken and Vegetables! It was so good! I love to repost recipes as a way for me to keep my recipes together and share them with you to try too.

After making this recipe, there are a few changes that I would do so that it cooks better to my personal liking (slightly softer rice, more chicken, slightly less sauce). The original is linked above, but feel free to follow either or. :)

Review: Laneige BB Cushion

Tuesday, October 23, 2018

Hello to those who still visit my little corner of the Internet! Thank you to those who've stuck with me through this dry patch of a year. The posts have been sparse here but I must say that life has been so busy until now. I'm now married to C, and we're currently on our honeymoon in Barbados! It feels so good to have all this time to not think about or do anything, and so I'm writing this post for you now in bed.

Today's post is a review of the Laneige BB Cushion*. Laneige has always been one of my favourite high-end but still affordable skincare brands so when they sent this to me to try, I was excited to try out their product that was more makeup-like than skincare.

Summer Picnic Essentials

Summer is the season to be outside, and one thing that I want to do by the end is to have another picnic! It's about time I do some spontaneous al fresco dining and enjoy the beautiful weather.

There are a few things that I need to make this picnic happen, and I can find them at! Wayfair is an online site that sells all things for the home, from couches to BBQ grills, light fixtures to window blinds, and everything in between. C and I have purchased several items for our home from Wayfair, so it was also very easy for me to find these three must have items on the site that would make my picnic doable:

Wedding Wednesday: Curated Skincare Routine

Wednesday, May 9, 2018

#happilyeverpong is only 5 months away! I wish time would pass by faster, but for now I need to continue prepping my skin so that it’s the best that it can be for the big day. I got help from my dear friend Christine, who is also a Sephora Senior Skincare Advisor, to curate an updated skincare routine for me with the bunch of products I already had.

Eye Post #13: My Eyewear Collection + Giveaway!

Sunday, April 1, 2018

After many MANY questions about it and requests, today's post is of my eyewear collection! I'm thankful and grateful for the perks that come with my job, which has definitely contributed to my growing collection. I am by no means showing off or bragging about what I have, but I'm posting purely because many have asked about the different eyewear I have so I thought this would be a fun way to show the pieces. Stay tuned for a giveaway at the end of the post! :D

Let's start off with my eyeglasses!

Givenchy Lunar New Year 2018 Release

Saturday, March 3, 2018

This press release was one of the prettiest ones I've received thus far! It's extra special too since this Givenchy release was done for Lunar New Year, which I personally celebrated a few weeks ago.

Givenchy released a Lunar New Year version of their Prisme Libre loose powder* and Le Rouge lipstick*.

Hey y'all! Many of you have asked to see my engagement photos with C, and we're delighted to share them with you today on the blog! A big shoutout to our talented photographer Cari Zhu (@carizhuphoto on Instagram, who was so accomodating with our late arrival at Scarborough Bluffs (we were trying to find parking on the day that the whole world also decided to go haha) and captured us so beautifully despite us being awkward turtles in front of the camera!
