Sweet & Easy Apple Crumble Recipe

I must say that I've made this more than once to make sure that this recipe is perfecto to share! :)



As mentioned in a previous post about my must-do's of autumn, making your own apple pie or crumble is such a fun and yummy activity to do with family and friends... especially if you're using apples that you picked from the trees yourself! It's a bit more simple than making a pie from scratch.

Here is the recipe that I use to make some delicious apple crumble!


Apple Crumble



Servings: 8-12, depending on how big each slice is.

Ingredients:
- 3 McIntosh apples
- 135 g sugar, separate into a 75 g portion and a 60 g portion
- 105 g flour
- 105g rolled oats
- 105 g unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp water

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
2. Peel the apples and cut into small chunks.
3. Put the apples into a pan with 1 tbsp of water and 75 g of sugar. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes to slightly soften them. Pour the apples into an ovenproof baking dish.
4. Mix the flour, oats and 60g of sugar together.
5. Add the butter to the flour oats mixture and mix well. Add the cinnamon and mix well. Mix until it has an even crumb texture.
6. Pour the oats mixture over the apples until it evenly covers the apples. Smooth down the surface of the crumble.
7. Sprinkle some brown sugar over the crumble.
6. Bake for 20 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.


Enjoy! Ice cream with it is perfect!
