Review: Foreo Luna 2 (Combination Skin)

I have a manual nylon exfoliating brush that I sometimes use to help cleanse and exfoliate my face. I didn't particularly see an improvement so I never felt inclined to use it often. However, this little blue sucker does the same thing as that brush and more... and I did see my face become more firm with a brighter complexion. Let me introduce you to Foreo Luna 2.

Its design screams Sweden (it has that aesthetic that aligns with Ikea haha) and this is the second generation from the original Luna electronic facial cleansing brush. The package comes in a crisp white box that includes a USB charger and a cloth pouch to store it. The Luna 2 is 100% waterproof so you don't have to worry if water gets near its charging port. One full charge can last for 7 months! When it's about time to charge, the light on the bottom of Luna 2 will blink to let you know. It automatically comes with a 2 year warranty, a 10-year guarantee, and an authenticity card.

The Luna 2 comes in an entire range that's made for different skin types. The pastel blue one that I have is for combination skin. They also have it for sensitive skin, oily skin, normal skin, and one also specifically for men (don't be afraid to use them boys ;) ). All of them differ by the types of bristles and how they are strategically positioned on the brush face. The thinner touch points cleanses sensitive skin while the thicker points are for stronger cleaning. The silicone design prevents bacteria buildup and is more hygienic than nylon-bristled brushes.

The brush uses T-sonic pulses to cleanse as you brush it over your face. You can adjust the intensity of the pulses to your liking with the + and - button. On the backside is the anti-aging system which gives lower-frequency pulsations targeted to minimize fine lines.

My thoughts: I love it! I didn't think I would need it ever, but now that I have it I can't go back to life without it. It's now a daily part of my night-time skincare routine (read up on my previous skincare routine post here!) I started using it when I had several acne spots but it cleared up very quickly, thanks to its deep cleansing function. The pulses are gentle and I can actually see any leftover makeup residue come off from my skin onto the brush. I feel like I'm doing a facial every night with it so even on those tired, lazy days I still end up using it and ensuring I complete my full skincare routine before sleeping. In the long run you save money versus other facial brushes where you need to replace brush heads. The only thing that I would say is that it's a bit harder to work the brush into really curved contours of the face such as my nose and harder to get the sensitive touch points to reach under the eyes because they're on the lower half of the brush face.

The Foreo Luna 2 might seem pricy at first, but it's worth it if you want to make facial cleansing more effective and luxurious. The Luna 2 retails for $229 at Sephora or on their website, but spread out over the x number of years you have it! The website also showcases their other cleansing brushes that are worth checking out!

Have you tried a Foreo product? What did you think?

  2. You can also find brightening skin cream that works wonders to soothe and calm your skin cells and nourishes appropriately by providing deep hydration to the skin that would help in preventing fine lines and wrinkles and soften any existing aging signs on the skin.www.thedermreport.com
